This is a community dedicated to Pre-Raphaelite art, its precursors, and its offshoots. Feel free to post your favorite paintings or discuss anything related to this beautiful art movement.

Pre-Raphaelite art occurred during the 19th and 20th centuries; producing a large number of paintings often with mythological and literary themes. Come and discover the lost beauty of this often overlooked movement.

There are only two rules:

1. If you are posting more than one image or an extremely long section of text, please use an lj-cut.

2. Please show respect for your fellow community members. Debate is welcome; flaming, trolling, or being rude is not. I will warn you once- repeat offenders will be banned.
